LOVE O' CLOCK
The rain is needling down, The street's a puckered frown.. It's time the human race Was wise and fully grown. Most suffer too much pain. The struggle's not in vain! May the fist of the oppressor Let go the cruel rein! May we see the sunrise coming, Hear bee's incessant humming, Live in harmony with each race, Stop the war machines running! The injustice that we've seen Never should have been! Lives instead should play out, And not be corpses lain out.. |
I've seen a sacred Buddha hall, Still statues standing tall. Each one sprang from tears That the Buddha let fall! He saw with real humanity For compassion, not insanity, Was fashioning his lips' smile. His mind had no vanity We cloud our eyes with rain, Sometimes authors of our pain. Some are living still in hate; This sad world's all too plain. If I respect your point of view And you respect mine too, Does it matter just which faith Each one belongs to? THE TIME IS LOVE O'CLOCK AND EACH ONE'S FAITH'S THEIR ROCK A FAITH LIVED WITH LOVE MAKES THE SUN SHINE ABOVE by Dido Walker copyright/18/08/2017, revised 2010 |
